St. Leonhard in Passeier / San Leonardo in Passiria + Gargnano, Italia

STROBLHOF Resorts (Familie Pircher)

A family-owned South Tyrolean resort business that became a two-region group in 2025. The Pircher family has owned the STROBLHOF in St. Leonhard in Passeier since 1954; the house itself was first documented in 1658 as the 'Gasthaus zum Einhorn' and has traded as the Stroblwirt since 1768. Hansjörg ('Hansi') Pircher and Sara Keller Pircher took over from his parents in 2007 and are the fourth Pircher generation to run it. The Passeiertal property trades as STROBLHOF SÜDTIROL Active Family SPA Resort, a 4-star-superior Active Family Spa Resort at 695 m on the main street of St. Leonhard, about 20 minutes north of Meran. It operates as STROBLHOF Südtirol GmbH / S.r.l. (VAT IT01192250213, REA BZ-105599, share capital EUR 2,500,000 fully paid). Board is a ¾-Verwöhnpension with a five-course dinner; published rates run from EUR 193 to EUR 309 per person per night depending on category and season, with family units priced per room. The wellness area is given as 5,000 m² with five pools, a Passeirer Saunadörfl, a rooftop adults-only Sky Spa with what the hotel describes as South Tyrol's largest hotel sauna, and a treatment menu of roughly 93 items priced between EUR 12 and EUR 210. The property has been rebuilt in stages: the Siguna Spa in 2005, the Dolce Vita Lounge and vinothek in 2007, the first Crystal Vital Residence with ten suites and an indoor pool in 2011, a second stage with 18 comfort suites in 2013, a Wine & Cocktail Bar in 2014, and in 2017 the largest single project — a third Crystal Vital Residence stage, 15 further suites, the Silent Pool and Panorama Skypool, a refurbished main house and a new facade, timed to the hotel's 360th anniversary. A children's and youth house followed in 2018 and the Sky Sauna in winter 2021. In 2026 the group added an interactive kids and teens funhouse, a redesigned family restaurant area and a padel court. Beyond rooms the Passeiertal site sells a Day Spa to non-resident guests at EUR 75 per person on weekdays and EUR 85 at weekends, and runs its own riding stable one kilometre away with Haflinger horses, a riding school and horse breeding, led by the owners' daughter Julia Pircher; riding lessons and treks are published at EUR 20 to EUR 140. Since March 2026 the stable also has a petting zoo. There are five tennis courts, a padel court, e-bike hire, a vinothek and a wine cellar, and two apartments in the neighbouring Haus am Platz whose guests use the resort's facilities. From May 2026 a further five luxury farm-stay apartments, Chalet Les Ovis, opened a few minutes from the village centre, with breakfast baskets, e-bike hire and access to the hotel spa bookable on request. The second resort, STROBLHOF LAKE GARDA Active Family SPA Resort, opened on 28 March 2025 in Gargnano on the western shore of Lake Garda and is operated by a separate company, STROBLHOF Lago di Garda S.r.l. (VAT IT03016900213, share capital EUR 1,850,000 fully paid, regional code CIR 017076-ALB-00036). The family bought the plot in July 2018 after a long-standing guest, an architect from Brescia, brought them the project; construction started in July 2023 after a permitting phase extended by the pandemic. The house is described on its own site as a five-star hotel, with ten room categories from a 20 m² single to a 90 m² family chalet, half-board rates of EUR 257 to EUR 435 per person per night, four heated pools, a rooftop panorama sky pool, about 79 priced treatments, an Osteria serving à-la-carte lunch, a wine and cocktail bar and a vinothek. A Day Spa for non-residents is offered from EUR 110 to EUR 180 per person. The two houses are marketed together as one brand and share a single reservation phone tree, a single Instagram and Facebook presence and a joint seven-night package — three nights in the Passeiertal and four at the lake — sold for the 2026 season. Both websites are built and run by Brandnamic of Brixen; both booking flows run on Seekda KUBE, on separate subdomains and separate hotel codes. The group employs 50 to 99 people in the Passeiertal company and 20 to 49 in the Lake Garda company.
