Schneeberg Hotels (Kruselburger)
Schneeberg Hotels is a family-owned South Tyrolean hotel group operating three accommodation properties in the municipality of Ratschings/Racines in the Wipptal, all under a single legal entity — SCHNEEBERG HOTELS KG der Kruselburger Verwaltung GmbH (an Italian s.a.s. whose general partner is a limited company), VAT IT02258830211, REA BZ-166409, registered in 2001. The registry records 100–249 employees. The flagship is Hotel Schneeberg 'Family Resort & Spa' at Maiern 22 at the head of the Ridnaun valley, 1,370 m: a four-star family and wellness resort of roughly 200 units spread across four interconnected buildings, sold on an 'All inclusive light' basis that bundles three meals, the spa, the kids club, animation and guided hikes into the per-person rate. The published 2026/27 rate card runs from €120 to €330 per person per night across eleven room categories and twelve seasons. The wellness area is described by the hotel as over 10,000 m², one of the largest privately owned water and sauna landscapes in the Alps; an earlier press description and the hotel's own hosts page put it at 8,000 m². It includes twelve saunas, six relaxation rooms, thirteen beauty treatment rooms plus two couple rooms, a 25 m outdoor pool, two indoor pools, a panorama infinity and brine pool, a separate adults-only area from 16 years, and a children's Acquapark with 170 m of water slides across four slides. Family provision is unusually deep: a mini club open 09:30–22:00 seven days a week year-round, an indoor go-kart track, a softplay climbing labyrinth, ball pits, a cinema, a teen room, a petting enclosure with horses, ponies, alpacas, sheep and goats, an own natural bathing lake with rowing boats, a sports hall, a bouldering room and a football pitch. Catering runs across the Wappensaal buffet hall, an à-la-carte restaurant, an in-house wood-fired pizzeria, a lounge bar, a pub and a sun terrace, with a wine cellar added recently. In November 2024 the group opened an 'Active Arena' with ValoArena and ValoJump mixed-reality sport-gaming systems, which it describes as the first installation of its kind in Italy. The house also runs meeting rooms and takes corporate and sports-team business; the German biathlon national team, German ski federation athletes and Italian youth football squads have used it as a training base. The second property is Hotel Almina 'Family & Spa' in the Jaufental at 1,100 m, a four-star house of about 55 rooms reopened in December 2015 after the former Hotel Alpenhof was rebuilt, sold on ¾ board with published rates from €97.50 to €142.50 per person per night. The third is Almarett B&B in Mareit at 1,094 m, a three-star bed-and-breakfast of 43 rooms acquired by the family in 2007 as the Wanderhotel Pulvererhof, positioned as the group's value option and operating 24-hour self check-in through an automatic locking system. The business began as the Gallerhof farm in Maiern. Hans Kruselburger opened the ten-room Pension Schneeberg on 2 June 1978 and expanded it almost every year — absorbing the neighbouring Mucherhof, building a hydroelectric plant in the Lazzacher Tal, and adding a petting zoo, a wellness centre and underground links between the buildings. He died on 1 September 2002; the family completed the suite and wellness wing he had planned in 2004, acquired the Almina in the mid-2000s and the Pulvererhof in 2007, and the three houses have traded together as the 'Schneeberg Hotels in Südtirol' since 2006. The group runs on renewable energy from its own hydro plant and a biomass district-heating plant, with a combined heat and power unit commissioned in 2009. Edith Kruselburger and her sons Andreas, Heinrich and Christian are named as the hosts. Commercially the three houses are run as three separate digital estates. Each has its own domain, its own TYPO3 build by a different regional agency and its own Google Tag Manager container. Neither Hotel Schneeberg nor Hotel Almina offers instant online booking: both take reservations through a TYPO3 Powermail enquiry form and a booking hotline. Only Almarett books online, through the HGV Booking Südtirol widget. An online gift-voucher shop powered by Yanovis runs on the Schneeberg site alone. There is no loyalty or repeat-guest programme, no member area, no guest app and no shared guest record across the three properties. Aggregated guest sentiment is strong: TrustYou scores Hotel Schneeberg 91/100 'excellent' across 2,340 reviews and Hotel Almina 91/100 across 2,133, with badges for both family and wellness.
