Innerratschings / Hauern, Italy
ALPURA Retreat & Mons Silva (Familie Eisendle)
A family-owned resort at 1,250 m in Innerratschings, at the head of the Ratschings valley near Sterzing, that is halfway through the largest change in its history. The house opened in 1980 as the Alphotel Tyrol, a 21-room pension run by Josef and Johanna Eisendle. It is now run by their son Martin with Nadia, Samira and Samuel, and in 2025 it was renamed ALPURA Retreat and rebuilt as a 5-star, all-inclusive multi-generation family resort. The hotel is closed for the works; its own homepage carries the line 'Eroeffnung des neuen Alpura im November 2026', and the Familotel member profile lists it as 'Wegen Umbau voruebergehend geschlossen'. The separately branded Mons Silva Private Luxury Chalets, a few hundred metres up the hill in the forest, stayed open through the closure and are trading on their own. The group is two companies rather than one. Alphotel Tyrol Srl (VAT IT02758480210, REA BZ-203228, registered 4 June 2012, share capital EUR 205,000, ATECO 68.20.02 'affitto di aziende') is the incumbent, and it is still the VAT number printed on the Mons Silva website. Alpura Srl (VAT IT03273330211, REA BZ-246310, share capital EUR 10,000, ATECO 55.1 'alberghi e strutture simili', legal representative Martin Eisendle) was incorporated on 9 January 2025 to operate the new hotel. Both are registered at Via Hauern 8 and both are active in the EU VIES register. The house counts 70 rooms per its Familotel member profile, sold as 27 published unit categories: 20 suites and premium suites from a 22 m2 Kuschelnest to the 84-93 m2 Premiumsuite Alpura, two penthouse suites with roof terraces and direct access to the rooftop pool deck, a Garden Chalet Suite De Luxe with its own 60 m2 garden, sauna and hot tub, and the four Mons Silva forest chalets (Romantik 79 m2, Tirol 75 m2, Jagd 95 m2, Mountain De Luxe 140 m2), each with a private finnish sauna and hot tub. Published entry rates are EUR 240-361 per person per night for the suites and EUR 720-1,854 per unit per night for the chalets and penthouses, all-inclusive full board included. The Familienhotels Suedtirol profile lists the house from EUR 255 per person per night. The facility is unusually large for 70 keys. Nine indoor and outdoor pools at 34-38 degrees, five water slides, an XXL infinity whirlpool set in a natural pond, an adults-only Almsaunadorf with eight saunas, a rooftop relax pool and a separate adults-only sky pool, the new Bellavita Spa, a Young Spa for children and teenagers, private spa suites, a 400 m2 indoor funpark with a bowling alley, cinema and a three-storey climbing structure, a 10,000 m2 child-safe park with a natural pond, go-kart track and Kneipp path fed by the house's own spring, a petting farm with alpacas, ponies, goats, sheep, rabbits and chickens, 76 hours a week of childcare plus 45 hours of baby care, and a staff house with more than 30 en-suite rooms next door. The Ratschings-Jaufen ski area is 3 minutes away by the hotel's free electric shuttle. It also sells to people who are not staying. A day spa is published at EUR 110 per person and EUR 55 per child including the lunch buffet, EUR 330 for a family, with breakfast at EUR 35 and the six-to-seven-course dinner at EUR 58 as add-ons, and a day-spa gift voucher is offered. Booking that day spa is by telephone or email only. The two brands share almost no technology. Alpura runs a TYPO3 site built and operated by Brandnamic GmbH of Brixen, books through the Booking Suedtirol (HGV) widget, takes deposits through the HOGAST payment widget, sells vouchers through a Brandnamic voucher module, and declares Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, TikTok and Pinterest in a Usercentrics consent manager. Mons Silva runs a completely separate site on Consisto.Core by Consisto GmbH, also of Brixen, books through the vioma CST7 and vioma BOOKING engine, takes deposits through a vioma 'Smart Pay' page, and runs its own newsletter and its own two Google Tag Manager containers. The two sites share exactly one system, a Re:Guest hub messenger, and its tenant key is still 'alphotel-tyrol-com'. The Instagram account is still @alphotel_tyrol while Facebook is @alpura.retreat, and the TripAdvisor and HolidayCheck listings are still filed under Alphotel Tyrol. Memberships are Familotel, the multi-country family-hotel cooperation that operates its own paid digital Happy-Card and its own gift vouchers across member houses, and Familienhotels Suedtirol. Recent recognition includes the Falstaff Hotel Guide 2026 with 88 points and five stars; Connoisseur Circle second place in Familienhotels Suedtirol 2025 and third in 2024, plus 'Die besten Chalets 2026'; a Booking.com Award 2026; Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice in 2023, 2024 and 2025; a HolidayCheck Certificate of Excellence 2026; and TUEV NORD 'OK fuer Kids'. The house publishes a TrustYou score of 4.7 out of 5 across more than 32,000 reviews.
