aleno

POS

aleno is a Zurich-headquartered hospitality software company, founded in 2015 by restaurateur Ivica Balenovic, that sells a "digital assistant" for restaurants and hotel F&B: reservations and AI table assignment, 360° guest profiles/CRM, retention marketing, no-show prevention with prepayment, and revenue/capacity analytics. It positions itself as the data hub between the hotel PMS and the restaurant floor, with 30+ marketplace integrations to Opera, Protel, Fidelio, Mews and Apaleo on the PMS side and Lightspeed, Hypersoft and Simphony on the POS side, plus a broad set of DACH payment gateways including TWINT, Datatrans, SIX and Worldline. It also ships a permanently free voucher/gift-card module, introduced during COVID and reported in use in over 1,500 venues. Its channel-management integrations include Zermatt Tourismus, which is consistent with its appearance in the Matterhorn Group Zermatt stack.

Shopify

POS

Global e-commerce platform: hosted storefronts, checkout, payments, customer accounts and order history, plus Shopify POS for physical retail. Not a hospitality product — but increasingly the way hotels with a product line sell it. (The company registry taxonomy has no e-commerce category; filed under POS and payments as the nearest fit.)

Ottawa (Canada) Founded 2006 1 listed property

TheFork

OTA

TripAdvisor-owned restaurant reservation platform and marketplace across Europe, with its own diner loyalty scheme (Yums) and commission/subscription models for restaurants.

Paris, France Founded 2007 2 listed properties

Agilysys

PMS

A hospitality-only software group selling an integrated cloud stack around the property: Agilysys PMS (Stay/Versa), InfoGenesis POS, Spa, Golf, Seat, Inventory & Procurement, Workforce and Pay. Unusually profitable for the sector, with subscription revenue growing 30% and real free cash flow.

Alpharetta, GA, United States Founded 1963

Mews

PMS

Modern API-first cloud PMS and 'hospitality operating system' with a large marketplace of integrated apps. Beyond the PMS core it ships Mews Distributor (its own commission-free booking engine, served from app.mews.com/distributor/<id>), Mews Payments, Mews POS and Mews Kiosk. Named #1 PMS by Hotel Tech Report three years running; widely deployed across European boutique and mid-scale hotels, including small independent Alpine houses.

Amsterdam, Netherlands Founded 2012

PAR Technology Corporation

Loyalty

An integrated restaurant technology group combining point of sale (PAR POS), back-office operations (PAR Ops), omnichannel ordering and delivery, payments, and the Punchh customer loyalty and engagement platform acquired in 2021. The strategic pitch is one vendor owning transaction, guest identity and loyalty in the same stack.

New Hartford, NY, United States Founded 1968

Shiji Group (Beijing Shiji Information Technology)

PMS

A large hospitality technology group offering PMS (Shiji Enterprise Platform, Daylight PMS), Infrasys Cloud POS, guest profile and CRM data, ReviewPro reputation management, payments, distribution and analytics. Built by acquisition into an end-to-end stack aimed at international hotel chains.
