Mirabell Hospitality (Chalet Mirabell *****, Hafling)

A 5-star luxury wellness resort on the Hafling/Avelengo sun plateau at 1,420 m directly above Meran, and the accommodation core of what the family now brands 'Mirabell Hospitality'. The operating company is Residence Mirabell GmbH (S.r.l.), VAT IT02399000211, CIN IT021005A13NKUIN2P, legal representative Michael Reiterer, Falzebenstraße 112, Hafling. The group runs four accommodation sites from one address: (1) CHALET MIRABELL, the 5-star main house with 26 published room and suite categories of 42–93 m², a 6,000 m² spa split into an adults-only Premium Spa and a separate Family Spa, 7 saunas, a 25 m Sunset Relax Pool, South Tyrol's longest heated natural bathing pond and a 10,000 m² park; (2) the BERGVILLEN, four 190–303 m² luxury villas with private infinity pool, sauna and designer kitchen a few steps from the hotel, at EUR 2,040–3,180 per night, marketed under their own domain bergvillen.com; (3) CHALET ZUEGG, a ski-in/ski-out chalet hamlet of three 100 m² chalets and two lofts at 1,820 m on the Meran 2000 ski area, opened for winter 2025/26 with its own domain, its own CIN, its own phone number and a public mountain restaurant and event venue; and (4) the CHALET 'M' ALM, the family's own hut at 1,700 m, bookable for up to six people and used for guided-walk dinners and dumpling courses. The house was built from nothing by Christine and Michael Reiterer — she from a hotel family, he a trained chef who cooked as chef de partie on the liner Royal Princess — who opened a 16-room Alpen Residence in 2004 on land given to them by her parents, expanded to 30 rooms, bought the adjoining 4,000 m² plot in 2011 and rebuilt the whole property as Chalet Mirabell in six months, then added Chalet Suites (2014), Mountain Suites and the adults-only spa (2016), the Mountain Blue Bar, new restaurants and the Bergvillen (2018) and a rebuilt family spa and family suites (2021). Their son Martin, born 2002, now signs the brochure alongside them as 'the M-Team'. Commercially the house punches far above its size. It is a Belvita Leading Wellness Hotel, took first place in the Connoisseur Circle wellness-hotel ranking, holds 99/100 in the Falstaff Spa Awards, the Relax Guide's top mark of four lilies (20/20) and first place in the 2024 Real Estate & Architecture Award for hospitality. Priced surfaces well outside the room rate: a Day Spa open to non-residents at EUR 115 (Mon–Fri), EUR 135 (weekends and holidays) and EUR 55 (Late Day Spa); a beauty and treatment menu using QMS and Team Dr. Joseph; the Mountain Blue & Minotti Lounge; alm dinners and cookery courses on their own hut; e-bike hire, picnic baskets and guide services at Chalet Zuegg; and a public mountain restaurant serving hot food from 10:00 to 18:00 to skiers, hikers and wedding parties who never sleep in the group at all. Distribution runs on SynXis (Sabre Hospitality), with one property code shared across the brands. Marketing runs on ADDITIVE — newsletter, marketing automation and a live voucher shop. Both websites are designed, built and operated by Zeppelin Hotel Tech AG in Meran, on two different platforms: Zeppelin's own CMS for the hotel and TYPO3 for Chalet Zuegg. Online distribution is contracted to MTS online in Vintl, online deposits run through the HOGAST payment widget, and the Chalet Zuegg restaurant takes reservations through Orderando. No repeat-guest programme, member area or guest login is published on either site.
