Innichen / San Candido and Vierschach / Versciaco, Italy
Post Dolomiti Resorts
Post Dolomiti Resorts is the trading name of the Wachtler family's hotel group in Hochpustertal / Alta Pusteria, at the eastern end of South Tyrol. It runs four accommodation properties across two municipalities' worth of village centre and mountainside, through two limited companies: Posthotel & Residence S.r.l. (VAT IT02335660219) and Post Alpina S.r.l. (VAT IT02457650212, incorporated 7 June 2005). The group markets itself as three houses: the Post Hotel – Tradition & Lifestyle, an adults-only (14+) 4-star-superior boutique hotel of 32 rooms and 9 suites in the pedestrian centre of San Candido/Innichen at 1,175 m; Post Alpina – Family Chalets Dolomites, a 4-star-superior family resort at Schattenweg in Versciaco/Vierschach at 1,150 m, opened in 2006 and described by the family as South Tyrol's first 'Almdorf', with 22 suites in the main building and 10 chalet buildings containing self-catering apartments, sitting directly on the lifts of the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski and hiking area; and Post Residence & Residence Silvia, two apartment houses in the village centre, the former rebuilt and reopening in July 2026 with 15 apartments, the latter a 3-star apartment house at Pflegplatz 4 that joined the group in December 2022 and publishes six apartment categories. The business dates to 1926, when the grandfather of the present generation took over a house known as the 'Fuchsn-Bäck' and turned it into the Post Hotel; the Post Residence and a swimming pool were added at the end of the 1970s, Post Alpina followed in 2006, and the Post Hotel was completely renovated in 2014 and repositioned adults-only. 2026 is the hotel's centenary and the group is running a dated anniversary programme for it. The non-room footprint is unusually wide for a group of this size. The Ristorante Post Hotel (roughly 90 covers) is explicitly open to non-residents; there is the P-Lounge bar with a live-music and events programme, a Secret Garden atrium with its own Secret Bar, and Café Silvia at the Post Residence. Both hotels operate spas with published à-la-carte treatment menus — the Post Spa in San Candido and the Vita Alpina Spa at Post Alpina, the latter using the South Tyrolean Phyto Art organic cosmetics line and running treatments for children as well as adults, priced from €17 for eyebrow tinting to €115 for an 80-minute intensive facial. Because the apartment houses are sold without board and the Post Alpina chalets are self-catering, a large share of food, cleaning and wellness spend is bought à la carte: breakfast at €14–24 per person per day, daily chalet cleaning at €40–60, compulsory final cleaning at €70–90, plus take-away and delivery to the chalet, in-house ski rental, supervised childcare 90 hours a week, garage and EV charging. Commercially the group runs on regional South Tyrolean infrastructure. All three brand sites are one property of the same classic-ASP platform built, hosted and marketed by Zeppelin Hotel Tech (Merano). Booking runs through the HGV co-operative's Booking Südtirol widget, with a separate accommodation ID for each of the three brands. Gift vouchers are sold through Brandnamic's voucher app, with a separate shop per operating company. Card deposits are taken through HOGAST's payment widget, again one per company. Guest messaging runs on chatlyn, with a separate inbox per brand, and ADDITIVE's tracking tag is installed on the Post Hotel and Post Alpina brands under separate account IDs. Consent is managed with Usercentrics, analytics with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Hotjar, the social wall with Juicer, brochures with Issuu, web push with PushPanda and CleverPush, and accessibility with digiaccess. There is no guest login, no member area, no app, no member rate and no repeat-guest programme anywhere in the group. Recognition of returning guests is handled by hand in the rate: the Post Residence reopening offer grants '7% introductory discount on the apartment rate as a personal loyalty benefit', alongside a €40 introductory discount, a 10% seven-night discount and a published midweek price at least €17 per person per night below weekend rates. Post Alpina is a member of Familienhotels Südtirol; the group is an HGV member and its properties are listed by the 3 Zinnen Dolomites destination organisation and Dolomiti Superski. HolidayCheck scores are published on the sites themselves at 5.8/6 for the Post Hotel and 5.7/6 for Post Alpina and the Post Residence, with a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice badge.
