Steinhaus im Ahrntal / Cadipietra in Valle Aurina + Mühlen in Taufers / Molini di Tures, Italy
AMONTI & LUNARIS Wellnessresort
A five-star alpine wellness and family resort operation in the Tauferer Ahrntal, run by the Steger family for over fifty years and today spanning three accommodation properties in two villages under two separate limited companies. The core is a pair of connected hotels at 1,054 m in Steinhaus im Ahrntal, directly at the base station of the Klausberg gondola: AMONTI Wellnessresort (Klausbergstraße 55, AMONTI GmbH, VAT IT01691450215, REA BZ 157304, share capital €120,000 fully paid, legal representative Herbert Steger) and LUNARIS Wellnessresort (Hittlfeld 1a, Linderhof GmbH, VAT IT02219310212, REA BZ 163463, share capital €100,000 fully paid, legal representative Siegfried Steger). The two houses are physically joined and share one infrastructure — the resort's own copy calls it 'Zwei Häuser. Ein Angebot.' and Herbert Steger describes it as 'das doppelte Hotel' with a 'doppelte Spezialisierung' in family holidays and in spa. A live per-category inventory feed puts the combined room count at 135 keys (73 AMONTI, 62 LUNARIS) across 29 categories, from a 32 m² double to a 109 m² studio, sold on 'Premium Inclusive' three-quarter gourmet board at a published €203–359 per person per night. The shared spa runs to more than 6,000 m² with six pools, an adults-only Panorama Sky Lounge on the roof (Sunset Sky Pool, aufguss panorama sauna, ice cube, Sky Bar), a 1,000 m² Sky Garden added in May 2021 with cabanas and stone-pine tipis, a separate 'Blue Planet' family water world with a 40 m slide, a hamam, a beauty and vital spa, a fitness centre and year-round childcare. Non-room revenue surfaces are unusually broad for a house of this size: a priced departure-day Day Spa (€45 adults, €29 children), spa treatments from €139, private hire of the Sky Lounge at €290 for two hours, 'Magic Moments' extras from €99 to a helicopter flight, and a Porsche rental fleet — a 718 Boxster GTS at €349 a day and a Taycan 4S at €495 a day. The LUNARIS 1964 gourmet restaurant (3 toques and 15.5/20 from Gault&Millau, 3 toques from Der Grosse Restaurantführer, Falstaff 3 forks) is explicitly bookable by non-resident guests. The third property is AMONTI Chalets, opened in May 2025 about 15 km down the valley at Mühlwalderstraße 9 in Mühlen in Taufers at 1,092 m: 23 five-star chalets, lofts and suites with private kitchens, fireplaces and private spas, a Pool Villa of 150 m², a three-storey spa house, and the restaurant JOHANNS — listed in the Michelin Guide with a Green Star, plus Gault&Millau, Gambero Rosso, Identità Golose and Greenspoon — which keeps its own opening hours and its own reservation line for outside diners. It trades on the AMONTI GmbH VAT number, so legally it is the same company as the AMONTI hotel, but commercially it is a separate brand on a separate website, a separate CMS and a separate agency. History: the business began as the Niederlinderhof farm; Johann Steger opened the Gästehaus Linderhof in 1964 after seeing ski tourism work in Gstaad, co-founded the Klausberg Seilbahn AG in 1972, and built the Ahrntal's first three-star hotel, the Sporthotel Linderhof, in 1977. Hotel Alpenschlössl followed in 1998 and the rebuilt Linderhof in 2000; the spa was tripled to over 3,000 m² in 2014; and on 28 July 2018 the two houses reopened after a two-year rebuild as AMONTI & LUNARIS. Three brothers of the second generation — Herbert, Siegfried and Helmut — came into the business; Herbert and Siegfried are the two registered legal representatives today. Over 80 staff. Recognition includes the Belvita Leading Wellnesshotels quality certificate 2026, Falstaff 2026 (98/100 hotel of the year in the Alpine region; 96 points in the Falstaff Hotel Guide), Falstaff Spa Award 2024, Gault&Millau Wellness 2025, a Longevity & Wellness 2026 award, HolidayCheck 5.9/6 in 2025, and a Skiresort.de test win as 'Bestes Skihotel'. Memberships: Belvita Leading Wellnesshotels Südtirol, Selected Hotels, Skiworld Ahrntal and Dolomiti Nordicski. Commercially the group runs on a split stack: the two Steinhaus hotels sit on the Condeon CMS from vioma GmbH with ADDITIVE marketing-cloud tracking, while AMONTI Chalets runs a headless TYPO3 with a Nuxt front end built by Bagasch and hantha, carrying a Brandnamic newsletter widget. All three properties sell through separate single-property instances of OnePageBooking by HotelNetSolutions. Gift vouchers are sold through two separate Brandnamic voucher-app tenants, one per house, while the chalets take voucher orders by telephone and e-mail only. There is no guest login, no member area, no guest app, no newsletter sign-up on the resort's own website and no published repeat-guest programme.
