Neustift / Novacella, Italy

Hotel Weingut Pacherhof

Hotel Weingut Pacherhof is a 4-star wine hotel and working white-wine estate at 610 m in Neustift / Novacella, in the municipality of Vahrn / Varna above Brixen / Bressanone in the Eisacktal / Valle Isarco. The farmstead is documented before the neighbouring Augustinian abbey of Neustift was founded in 1142, and the family dates winegrowing on the site to close to a thousand years. It has been in Huber hands for generations. The estate is two separate businesses on one site, and that is the single most consequential fact about it. The hotel trades on VAT IT02803740212, which the EU VIES registry returns as HUBER MONIKA — a sole proprietorship in a private individual's name, at Str. Michael Pacher 1 int. 1, 39040 Varna. The winery signs every one of its wine datasheets independently as 'Weingut Pacher Hof — Andreas Huber, Pacherweg 1', with its own telephone number and its own email address. Neither business is a limited company, so neither files public accounts. Eight room categories are published, from a 20 m² Stammhaus Nord to the 55 m² Pacher Suite, divided between a listed 11th-century manor house and a modern dependance built onto it. The hotel publishes no room count at all, in any of its three languages. Rates run €110–182 per person per night with half board — a four-course dinner with salad buffet and a packaging-free breakfast buffet — and the Vinum Hotels member profile quotes 'from €114'. Children pay €23 (under 3) to €81 (13–15), with 20% off from 16. For a house this size the priced surfaces outside board are unusually wide. Spa treatments run €42 (20 min) to €145 (100 min), built on a cosmetics line made from grape-seed oil, pomace and products from a named local beekeeper. The restaurant is registered in the provincial gastronomy register as Gasthaus, Restaurant and Gasthof, opens midday and evening, and takes family celebrations. Guided vineyard and cellar tours with a tasting cost €10 per person for five wines and €2 per further wine, and a wine shop sits on the estate. Törggelen runs in the autumn, the garage costs €15 a day and pets €25. The spa has a year-round heated outdoor pool, an indoor pool, saunas and a relaxation room. Winemaker Andreas Huber works eight hectares of white varieties on west-facing slopes at 620–900 m in Neustift and Elvas, vinifying in 12th-century vaulted cellars alongside a modern one. Nine wines are published: Sylvaner, Sylvaner Alte Reben, Kerner, Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Grigio, Müller Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and a hand-picked Private Cuvée. The estate states that Italy is its largest market and that it also exports to the USA, Belgium, Denmark and Germany, and it belongs to the EisackWein growers' initiative. There is no online wine shop, no cart and no customer account of any kind; wine enquiries go to a separate mailbox. The commercial stack is concentrated in one supplier and split across four data stores. Brandnamic of Brixen supplies the TYPO3 site and its bn_package theme, the eHotelier back office that receives every enquiry and newsletter signup by way of a double opt-in, and the gift-voucher app embedded on the voucher page. The reservation itself is not Brandnamic's: the booking module loads the Booking Südtirol widget of HGV Service Genossenschaft against accommodation 10893. Consent runs on Usercentrics, whose live configuration also declares ADDITIVE+ ANALYTICS alongside Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Pinterest and the Facebook Pixel. So the enquiry, the reservation, the voucher balance and the property-management folio each sit in a different system, and the wine customer sits outside all four, in a different company. There is no member area, no guest login, no repeat-guest scheme and no loyalty programme anywhere on the site. The house carries the South Tyrol Sustainability Label at Level 3, the highest awarded and equivalent to GSTC certification, holds GreenSign certification from the Berlin institute against more than 130 criteria, and took second place in the Hotel Sustainability Award 2025. It is a member of Vinum Hotels Südtirol, publishes an aggregate rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 152 ratings, and republishes guest quotes from TripAdvisor and HolidayCheck on its homepage.
