Booking Engine

Simple Booking (QNT S.r.l. — Zucchetti Group)

Booking engine (IBE) for 10 of 11 hotels, plus the group's multi-property booking portal

Simple Booking is the flagship hotel booking engine / central reservation system of QNT S.r.l., a Florence-based hospitality software firm founded in 2001 and acquired by Italy's Zucchetti Group in January 2018 (Zucchetti's fourth hotel-tech acquisition in ~14 months, alongside Vertical Booking, GP Dati and Nice Informatica). The suite spans the direct-booking engine, channel manager, metasearch distribution, a Rate Match parity tool and business analytics, and is aimed at boutique, luxury and multi-property groups — strong in Italy and the Alpine/DACH market. Beyond core distribution it ships a Loyalty Club module for running online loyalty programmes with instant rewarding, a Mini Shop for selling vouchers and gift cards, and Converto CRM for quotations. It reports 7,000+ properties in 75+ countries and in June 2026 released MCP connectors letting AI agents such as Claude and ChatGPT query rates and book directly.

Direct Booking Conversion & Personalisation

Triptease

Direct-booking conversion suite — price parity, targeted on-site messaging and metasearch bidding on 6 of 11 properties

Triptease is a London-based "data marketing platform" for hotels whose single purpose is shifting bookings away from OTAs onto the hotel's own website. Its core mechanic is rate intelligence: it shops OTA prices in real time, auto-matches or beats them on the hotel's site and on metasearch, and surfaces personalised on-site messaging to push browsers into the direct booking engine. Around that sit metasearch and paid-search bidding, display retargeting, abandonment email with segmented push into the hotel's CRM, AI chat, and Date Boost for demand-sensitive dates. It is sold to revenue, e-commerce and marketing managers on fixed licence or pay-per-stay/CPA terms, and is distributed partly through CRS channels — Sabre SynXis customers get a free "Price Check Lite" tier via the Aven Hospitality partnership.

Metasearch Management likely

Tripadvisor

Review and metasearch listing; also owns TheFork which handles their F&B bookings

Tripadvisor is the world's largest travel guidance platform, built on user-generated reviews (~1 billion reviews across ~8 million hotels, restaurants and attractions) and monetised through hotel metasearch, CPC advertising and two owned marketplaces: Viator for tours and experiences and TheFork for restaurant reservations. Its hotel-facing B2B products — Business Advantage, Sponsored Placements, TripConnect and the Review Express API — sell visibility and review volume back to the properties whose guests generate the content. Since 2011 it has traded on Nasdaq as TRIP; in April 2025 it absorbed its own parent, Liberty TripAdvisor, removing its controlling stockholder. After killing the paid Tripadvisor Plus subscription in 2024, the company relaunched consumer loyalty in August 2025 as Tripadvisor Rewards, a free app-only programme paying 5% back in "Trip Cash".

Gift Cards, Vouchers & Stored Value

e-guma

Gift voucher / stored-value platform — run as FIVE separate per-property shops rather than one group balance

Swiss cloud voucher and ticketing platform (operated by Idea Creation GmbH, Zurich). Since 2005 it lets hotels, tourism and leisure businesses sell, manage and market gift vouchers; ~1,200 businesses use it. In 2022 it launched e-surprise.ch, a B2C experience-voucher marketplace integrated with TWINT.

Hotel & Restaurant POS

aleno

Restaurant reservation and guest-data system — Hotel Restaurant Schwarzsee only (a different F&B stack from the TheFork properties)

aleno is a Zurich-headquartered hospitality software company, founded in 2015 by restaurateur Ivica Balenovic, that sells a "digital assistant" for restaurants and hotel F&B: reservations and AI table assignment, 360° guest profiles/CRM, retention marketing, no-show prevention with prepayment, and revenue/capacity analytics. It positions itself as the data hub between the hotel PMS and the restaurant floor, with 30+ marketplace integrations to Opera, Protel, Fidelio, Mews and Apaleo on the PMS side and Lightspeed, Hypersoft and Simphony on the POS side, plus a broad set of DACH payment gateways including TWINT, Datatrans, SIX and Worldline. It also ships a permanently free voucher/gift-card module, introduced during COVID and reported in use in over 1,500 venues. Its channel-management integrations include Zermatt Tourismus, which is consistent with its appearance in the Matterhorn Group Zermatt stack.

ASMALLWORLD AG is a Zurich-based, SIX-listed (ASWN) private members club and luxury travel ecosystem, founded in 2004 by Erik and Louise Wachtmeister and run on paid subscription tiers; it reported 121,922 members and CHF 19.1m net sales for FY2025. Its commercial core is the ASMALLWORLD Collection, a consortium-style booking platform of roughly 1,800 luxury hotels where paying members book qualifying rates and receive VIP amenities (upgrade, USD 100 hotel credit, breakfast for two, early check-in / late check-out), alongside Bespoke Travel, an events programme and the ASW Horizon card. Since a 2022 strategic partnership and reciprocal equity swap with Global Hotel Alliance — ASW took 10% of GHA, GHA took ~3% of ASW — ASMALLWORLD also holds a mandate to recruit independent hotels into the alliance, marketed as ASMALLWORLD DISCOVERY, which puts member hotels onto GHA's DISCOVERY Dollars currency (D$1 = USD 1, earned at roughly 4-7% of eligible spend by tier, spendable against any part of a bill at 950+ hotels). Group also includes ASMALLWORLD Hospitality (hotel consulting/management), First Class & More, The World's Finest Clubs and Jetbeds.

Consortium & Soft Brand

Consortium and marketing programme for historic and heritage hotels, run in association with the US National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Consortium & Soft Brand

Preferred Hotels & Resorts

Consortium affiliation for the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof only; its I Prefer programme is the group's ONLY loyalty scheme and it is owned by a third party

Preferred Hotels & Resorts is a soft-brand consortium for independent luxury hotels, founded in 1968 by 12 North American hoteliers as a referral organisation and headquartered in Newport Beach, California. It owns and operates no properties; instead it sells member hotels sales, marketing, quality assurance and distribution — a single GDS chain code (PH) and the preferredhotels.com booking site — plus brand membership across five collections (Legend, L.V.X., Lifestyle, Connect, Preferred Residences). Its I Prefer Hotel Rewards programme, launched in 2006 and now claiming 6M+ enrolled members, sits on top of member-hotel inventory: guests earn 10 points per dollar of room spend and redeem into cash-value Reward Certificates ($25 to $500) that hotels must accept as payment against room charges. It is a division of family-owned Preferred Travel Group (rebranded from Preferred Hotel Group in January 2023), which also runs Beyond Green, Historic Hotels of America/Worldwide and PTG Consulting.

Consortium & Soft Brand

Swiss Deluxe Hotels

Swiss luxury quality label — Grand Hotel Zermatterhof only

The association of Switzerland's leading five-star hotels, providing collective marketing, standards and industry representation for its member properties.

Consortium & Soft Brand

Virtuoso

Luxury travel-advisor network driving agent-sourced business to the Zermatterhof

Virtuoso is a by-invitation-only global consortium of luxury travel agencies and their advisors, tracing its roots to Allied Travel (1951), later Allied Percival International / API Travel Consultants, and rebranded Virtuoso in 2000 under Matthew Upchurch. It does not own hotels or sell software to hotels: it aggregates ~20,000 luxury travel advisors and sells them access to a curated preferred-partner portfolio of roughly 2,500 hotels, cruise lines, airlines and tour operators. Member hotels sign a preferred-partner agreement that requires the Virtuoso rate to match the hotel's best flexible publicly available rate and obliges the hotel to fund a fixed amenity stack — daily breakfast for two, room upgrade subject to availability, early check-in/late check-out, and a per-stay property credit of roughly US$100 — on top of the commission paid to the booking advisor. Its revenue comes from member/partner fees and its marketing and event machinery (Virtuoso Travel Week, Virtuoso Life, the annual Luxe Report), not from guest transactions directly.
