Payments & Payment Orchestration
TWINT
Swiss mobile payment method accepted at the properties and in the e-guma voucher shop
TWINT is Switzerland's dominant domestic mobile payment app and digital wallet, operated by TWINT Ltd. of Zurich and owned jointly by the country's largest banks plus SIX and Worldline. The app was built from 2014 by Monexio, a PostFinance subsidiary; today's TWINT AG was formed by the September 2016 merger with Paymit (Zürcher Kantonalbank / SIX), and national ubiquity followed from 2017. It covers QR-code payments in store, e-commerce and express checkout, payment links, POS/terminal integration, recurring payments, P2P transfers, Pay Later (30-day invoice), and cash withdrawal — retailers typically pay around 1.3% per transaction according to Wikipedia. Beyond payments it runs a merchant loyalty and stored-value layer: hosted digital loyalty cards (Code 128/EAN/QR), digital stamp cards, coupons, "Super Deals", third-party digital vouchers and credit (paysafecard, Google Play, Netflix), and an in-app experience-voucher marketplace powered by e-surprise/e-guma selling hotel, wellness and alpine experience vouchers.
Revenue, Distribution & Commerce 2
GlobRes (Globres Global Reservation Agent AG)
Named processor for the central electronic system in which bookings and guest data are stored and linked — i.e. the CRS/distribution layer (GDS/IDS, consortia & corporate RFP manag
GlobRes is a Swiss hotel e-distribution and online-marketing company founded in Lucerne in 2003, trading as Globres Global Reservation Agent AG. It runs central reservation, booking-engine, channel-management and GDS/IDS connectivity for independent and small-group hotels, largely as a managed reseller/partner of the Sabre SynXis Central Reservation System, which pushes rates and inventory to Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo/Worldspan (Travelport) and the Pegasus IDS — the company cites reach to over 650,000 travel agents. Alongside the technology it sells demand-side services: corporate RFP and consortia placement (its Nexus database claims to answer a corporate/consortia bid in five minutes, supporting 30 consortia formats), an exclusive commission-based booking channel called X-Direct, analytics and hotel website design. It is a privately held Swiss AG with no disclosed funding.
Central Reservation System likely
Sabre Hospitality / Aven Hospitality (SynXis)
Probable CRS engine underneath GlobRes (GlobRes markets SynXis as its central booking hub); not observed in Manz's own payload
SynXis is one of the two or three dominant global hotel central reservation systems, holding rates, inventory and availability and pushing them to the brand website, OTAs, GDS and voice channels; it is bundled with a booking engine, a PMS (Property Hub), a retailing module (Retail Studio) and a unified guest profile (Guest Experience). The business began as SynXis Corporation in 1996, was bought by Sabre in 2005 for $41M, and was sold by Sabre to private-equity firm TPG for $1.1B in a deal that closed on 3 July 2025. On 27 January 2026 it rebranded from Sabre Hospitality Solutions to Aven Hospitality under CEO Teresa Mackintosh — sabrehospitality.com now 301-redirects to avenhospitality.com, so the customer-facing name is changing. It reports 35,000+ hotels in 175 countries and 600+ integrations, and in July 2023 it acquired UK-based Techsembly specifically for hotel gift-card and property e-commerce capability aimed at the luxury segment.
Marketing, CRM & Direct Booking 7
Simple Booking (QNT S.r.l. — Zucchetti Group)
Booking engine (IBE) for all five hotels — one separate hotel ID per property, no group/chain search
Simple Booking is the flagship hotel booking engine / central reservation system of QNT S.r.l., a Florence-based hospitality software firm founded in 2001 and acquired by Italy's Zucchetti Group in January 2018 (Zucchetti's fourth hotel-tech acquisition in ~14 months, alongside Vertical Booking, GP Dati and Nice Informatica). The suite spans the direct-booking engine, channel manager, metasearch distribution, a Rate Match parity tool and business analytics, and is aimed at boutique, luxury and multi-property groups — strong in Italy and the Alpine/DACH market. Beyond core distribution it ships a Loyalty Club module for running online loyalty programmes with instant rewarding, a Mini Shop for selling vouchers and gift cards, and Converto CRM for quotations. It reports 7,000+ properties in 75+ countries and in June 2026 released MCP connectors letting AI agents such as Claude and ChatGPT query rates and book directly.
Email, SMS & Marketing Automation
Mailchimp
Newsletter platform — but split across THREE separate Mailchimp accounts, and two properties have no newsletter at all
General-purpose email marketing and automation platform (Intuit), widely used by smaller hotel groups in place of a hospitality-specific CRM.
Silverstripe
Website CMS for the group site and all five property sites (single shared template/codebase)
Silverstripe is an open-source, PHP-based content management system and web framework (BSD-licensed, distributed via silverstripe.org) built and maintained by Silverstripe Ltd, a Wellington, New Zealand company founded in 2000 as Totally Digital by Sam Minnée, Tim Copeland and Sigurd Magnusson. The commercial arm (silverstripe.com) monetises through digital agency work — design, build and support — plus Silverstripe Cloud managed hosting and Silverstripe Search, with an ecosystem of several hundred freelance and agency implementation partners worldwide. It is strongest in NZ public sector and enterprise web, and is not a hospitality-specific vendor: it sells no loyalty, guest CRM, stored-value or booking product.
Hotel Chatbots & Conversational AI
Quinta (formerly Quicktext) — Velma
AI website chatbot — deployed on Hotel St. Gotthard only (1 of 5 properties)
Quicktext was founded in Paris in 2017 by Daniel C. Doppler and Benjamin Devisme and rebranded to "Quinta — the Quintessence of Data" in January 2026; quicktext.im now 301-redirects to quinta.im. Its flagship product is Velma, an AI agent that sits on a hotel's website, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and WeChat, answers guest questions in 38 languages, and pushes visitors into the property's own booking engine. Around Velma the company has built a modular platform — Q-Data (structured property knowledge base), Q-Channel (syndicating that data to OTAs, GDS, metasearch and AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity), Q-SEO, Q-Sales (lead tracking), Q-Task (guest request routing) and Q-Hub (guest messaging inbox). It is a conversion and guest-communication layer, not a system of record: it captures contact details and intent and pushes them into third-party CRMs (Salesforce, Cendyn, Revinate, Thynk, Dynamics), and it does not sell loyalty programmes, stored value, wallets or vouchers.
myhotelshop (RateGain / Sojern)
Metasearch bid management (Google Hotel Ads, trivago, Tripadvisor, Kayak) — deployed on St. Gotthard and Continental only (2 of 5), single shared account
myhotelshop GmbH, founded in Leipzig in January 2012 by Ullrich Kastner, is a metasearch bid-management platform and managed agency: it buys and optimises a hotel's CPC/CPA placements on Google Hotel Ads, trivago, TripAdvisor, Kayak and Bing, and connects the hotel's booking engine and rate feed so the direct rate is live and bookable on those comparison surfaces. It sells both as SaaS (self-managed bidding) and as a full-service agency, with the pitch being cheaper direct bookings versus OTA commission. RateGain agreed to acquire it in September 2021 and kept the brand initially; as of July 2026 www.myhotelshop.com no longer serves its own site — it 302-redirects to RateGain's UNO hotel-paid-media page, which in turn 301-redirects to sojern.com/solutions/commission, indicating the brand has been absorbed into RateGain's Sojern martech unit following the USD 250M Sojern acquisition (Nov 2025) and the Adara/Sojern brand unification (Mar 2026). The current commercial model there is commission-on-completed-stay: the vendor fronts the media spend and takes a cut of the booking.
Tripadvisor
Review and metasearch channel for all five hotels; review quotes are manually copy-pasted into the CMS
Tripadvisor is the world's largest travel guidance platform, built on user-generated reviews (~1 billion reviews across ~8 million hotels, restaurants and attractions) and monetised through hotel metasearch, CPC advertising and two owned marketplaces: Viator for tours and experiences and TheFork for restaurant reservations. Its hotel-facing B2B products — Business Advantage, Sponsored Placements, TripConnect and the Review Express API — sell visibility and review volume back to the properties whose guests generate the content. Since 2011 it has traded on Nasdaq as TRIP; in April 2025 it absorbed its own parent, Liberty TripAdvisor, removing its controlling stockholder. After killing the paid Tripadvisor Plus subscription in 2024, the company relaunched consumer loyalty in August 2025 as Tripadvisor Rewards, a free app-only programme paying 5% back in "Trip Cash".
Gift Cards, Vouchers & Stored Value
e-guma
Gift-voucher and ticket shop — Hotel Euler only (1 of 5 properties); the other four sell no vouchers online
Swiss cloud voucher and ticketing platform (operated by Idea Creation GmbH, Zurich). Since 2005 it lets hotels, tourism and leisure businesses sell, manage and market gift vouchers; ~1,200 businesses use it. In 2022 it launched e-surprise.ch, a B2C experience-voucher marketplace integrated with TWINT.
Guest Experience & In-Room Technology 2
straiv (formerly CODE2ORDER)
Digital check-in and check-out, check-in kiosks with payment, and digital guest directory
straiv is a Stuttgart-based SaaS vendor that digitises the hotel guest journey through a browser-based progressive web app — online check-in/check-out with digital registration forms, self-service kiosks, mobile door opening, digital payment, automated guest messaging, a digital guest directory/concierge and upselling. Founded in 2015 as CODE2ORDER (rebranded to straiv in February 2022), it is owner-managed by co-founder/CEO Alexander Haußmann and states 3,400+ hotel customers across 30 countries, concentrated in DACH and wider Europe. It is an integration layer rather than a system of record: it sits on top of PMSs (Apaleo, Mews, Oracle OPERA Cloud and Suite 8, protel, Sihot, Guestline, ASA, Casablanca, ibelsa, Infor, Shiji Daylight), lock systems and PSPs, writing ancillary charges back to the guest folio. It sells no loyalty programme, guest CRM, voucher or stored-value product today.
Ginto (Verein Sitios)
Accessibility profiles linked from the three Basel hotels (Euler, Metropol, City Inn)
Ginto is a Swiss accessibility-information platform operated by Verein Sitios, a non-profit association founded in Zurich in 2022 by Pro Infirmis, the Förderverein Barrierefreie Schweiz and the AccessibilityGuide association. It collects structured, measured accessibility data on hotels, restaurants, museums, transport and leisure venues (door widths, lifts, thresholds, bed and table heights, routes, plus photos) and serves it through a consumer app and web guide where each user matches venues against a personal needs profile. Hotels get their data captured either by self-declaration via the app under the OK:GO initiative or by paid on-site surveys, then publish it as a per-venue web link, an embeddable web component on their own site, or via free open-data APIs into partner booking and destination platforms. Sunstar Hotels (Fred Tschanz Group) is a published reference case;
Data, Integrations & Infrastructure 2
Cookiebot (Cookiebot CMP by Usercentrics)
Cookie consent / CMP, deployed via GTM with Google Consent Mode
Cookiebot is a consent management platform (CMP) that puts a cookie/tracking consent banner on a website, automatically scans the domain each month to discover and classify every cookie and third-party script, blocks non-essential trackers until the visitor consents, and stores an auditable consent log. It was launched in Denmark in 2012 by Cybot A/S and merged into Munich-based Usercentrics in September 2021; it is now sold as "Cookiebot by Usercentrics" as the self-service / SMB tier alongside the enterprise Usercentrics CMP. It is a Google-certified CMP with native Google Consent Mode v2 support for GTM, GA4 and Google Ads. The company states it runs on 2.4M+ websites and apps for 600,000+ customers and processes around 8.8B consents per month.
Google Analytics & Tag Manager
Web analytics — six separate GA4 properties configured in the one container, one per site
Google's web analytics (GA4) and tag management (GTM) stack — the near-universal default for hotel websites, usually deployed as a single GTM container that loads GA4, ad pixels and consent tooling.
Demand Networks & Affiliation 1
Booking.com
Primary OTA for all five hotels; carries by far the largest public review volume
The dominant online travel agency for European accommodation, taking commission (typically ~15–20%) on bookings it originates.
Running several of these systems at once?
Blue connects an existing hotel stack into one guest profile and one loyalty balance across every property — without replacing the PMS.
